Snack Time!

Having friends and family over is a lot of fun, whether it is for a party or an unplanned get-together. However, trying to find snacks or appetizers to feed guests isn’t always a joy. That’s why it is important to have a few “tricks” up your sleeve when it comes to what you serve. We have three great ideas for simple snacks you can serve at your next event.

Three Simple Snacks for Your Next Get-Together

  • Greek Salad Skewers – All the makings of a delicious Greek salad on a small skewer. Cut a large cucumber into manageable “chunks” and use one piece as the base of each skewer (or long sword toothpick). Top with a cherry tomato, Greek olive and a hefty chunk of feta cheese. Make a plateful and drizzle with your favorite Greek dressing or a blend of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. These are sure to be a hit!

  • Crack Chicken & Pita – This is a recipe so easy it makes itself. Place four boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the crockpot with two 8-ounce blocks of cream cheese and one pack of ranch seasoning. Cook on low for six hours. Shred the chicken and voilà! Serve with pita bread or tortillas. Add lettuce and tomatoes if desired to round out the sandwiches.

  • Do-It-Yourself Taco Salads – Want something a bit more filling but super easy? Do-it-yourself taco salads are a great option. Offer a couple of different tortilla chips, seasoned ground beef and chicken, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, black beans, rice (don’t be afraid to use instant) and as many other add-ins as you feel like. Nearly anyone can put together a meal that will fulfill their dietary needs, plus it’s a lot of fun!

While food can make the event, having a nice place to host friends and family is important too – especially if entertaining is in your blood.
